I have two 2360LMT model

I'm trying to update to CityNavigator NT US 2017.20

I tried to couple of different computer (different OSes) with different network connection and different USB cable

map download is always stuck at 49.9%

while downloading, when I look at task manager, network or performance, it shows network usage, however when it's stuck at 49.9%, there is no network usage

anyway to fix this issue?

little google search was what led me to this forum.

After long troubleshooting, I finally got it working, I connected to VPN and somehow that worked.

I looked at log files and one of the last file was not getting downloaded for some reason without VPN.

anyways, I've been using Garmin for little over 10 years now, their GPS product are great except for the software. Previsou map updater was terrible in terms of usability but at least it worked.

what's the point of having separate map download location if garmin express save file to C:\programdata

also, why publish uncompress files ? it would save lot of bandwidth time by compressing map beforehand check md5 hash before and after download and uncompress it locally.

If a lot of people are having similar issue, it's not the user, it's the software that's having issue.
  • Well it's not a 'lot of users', just a few, and where there are problems they are generally like yours ... an issue at the user end. Sounds like you may have had an issue with your ISP or if trying over wifi a router issue. Either way glad it's resolved.
