Nuvi 2445 cannot update with Garmin Express

Hi
I have been trying to update my Nuvi 2445 with Garmin Express. It tells me there is an update available but every time I try it I get an error message"There was an error installing the update" I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin express but its still not working. Any suggestions please? Laura

Garmin Express not updating

Hi there thanks for the info. I tried working my way through the list. i turned off my AVAST security software and connected using a cable rather than using wifi but I am still getting the same error message and am still stuck? Please help. Laura

Then as suggested at the end of that FAQ try calling Product Support.

I am sorry you are having trouble updating your nuvi 2455. If you have gone through the FAQ in the linked post but still have trouble, please answer the following questions so we can better advise you:

What are the exact updates you are trying to do ("View Details" will show them)?
How much free space (memory) is on the hard drive of the nuvi 2455?
When it is running the update, what step does Garmin Express say it is on when it fails?
How long into the update does it go before it fails?

When we have these answers, we can better advise you on how to correct the problem.
