Garmin Express - "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect."

About half the time it doesn't sync with my paired 910XT. Why did you replace the working Garmin ANT agent with this useless program? Fw 3.20 and GE ver. 4.1.21.0

    I am sorry you're having trouble syncing your Forerunner 910XT. The ANT Agent was replaced so we would have one program that handles most of our devices instead of a different one for each type of device. I am sorry that it is not working in your situation. To help correct this, please try the steps in the FAQ, "">What can I try when my ANT Fitness device will not sync with Garmin Express?">What can I try when my ANT Fitness device will not sync with Garmin Express?"

    It is also a good idea to delete Activities from your Forerunner 910XT periodically after they have successfully uploaded. Clearing this data will help prevent the device from getting full and causing corrupt data. Please see page 30 of the ">Owner's Manual">Owner's Manual to do this.

    Same issue, help needed

    Hi,

    I have this issue with Vivoactive HR since last night.
    It only happened since there was a software update to my device and now it won't synch on any laptop.

    Fixed it myself...
    Out of the 5 things in my sync queue 3 were watch faces and 1 was personal settings and 1 was personal records.
    I deleted personal settings and records from the synch list and it all works again.
  • I'm having the same issue. I've tried everything in the FAQ and deleted all activities from my watch except the one that won't upload. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted etc etc but still no go. Getting pretty frustrated!

    I am sorry you are also having trouble syncing. It actually sounds like the file you are trying to sync may be corrupt. However, we can first try clearing the sync data from your computer and then try syncing the device again in case other data is stuck there. Please follow the steps in the FAQ, "How do I remove FIT files that fail to sync in Garmin Express from my computer?"

    We should also clear the sync queue from Garmin Connect. Please try the following:
    • Log into Garmin Connect.
    • Click on the icon with the two arrows on the left side of the screen.
    • If there is anything listed here for this device, please click on the "x" next to it.
    • If you are asked if you want to remove it, please say yes.

    Now, please try syncing with Garmin Express again. Let us know if you still have trouble.

    Why issue such an vague error like "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect." ? Can't it include something more specific, as to what the problem is?

    It says: "You're up to date" No I'm not, my new activity isn't synced. This program doesn't work properly. Only syncs half the time without dealing with restarts, reinserting ANT stick etc.

    Pretty self explanatory, not syncing, no upload of new activities from the watch.

    All activity was deleted some weeks ago. ANT agent had the feature to delete activities when uploaded. Have not found this option in Express.

    I have dealt with Garmin support before, and they just won't listen to what customers are saying. Look at all the threads on this issue and how many user are replying and saying they are having the same problem. Garmin support just loops issues back to first line support and not taking the problem to the software developers.
