Connection of a problem Nuvicam a pc

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my gps Nuvicam since last night, I made a mistake by connecting it to my pc, instead of connecting it with a micro USB cord below, I airaccordé with that and has arrirée which is used to recharge, I do not know if this is what posed problem, but it is not recognized by my pc
if I connect the rocker Nuvicam well in "pc", it indicates an orange logo indicating that the GPS is connected to the PC, after a few moments, the PC recognizes it but then he puts me an error message " device malfunctioned ", then the GPS disconnects and starts as if I had turned on.
I walked into the parameters of GPS to put in "mtp" or "mass storage" I handed in factory settings, nothing happens, it connects seconds and disconnects.
I tried on several pc and it's the same, I uninstalled garmin express, usb drivers, the PC can not connect to it, he does it for a while and disconnects,
does anyone have an idea what I could do? I've done a backup when I bought it but I can not connect to the PC, no way to reinstall the backup, I tried to place an update on one of two micro sd cards, but it does not work, the GPS can not read them,
thank you for your feedback ...

I am sorry you are having trouble getting your nuviCam to be detected correctly by the computer. Some of your statements are a bit confusing and it looks like you were writing information in French. If the steps I provide you do not resolve the issue, I recommend contacting ">Product Support">Product Support by phone and selecting to speak with the French team.

From reading your post, I could not tell if you eventually switched to the USB cable that came with the device. If you did not try the GARMIN USB data cable, please switch to it and try connecting the device. Our cables are actually labeled "GARMIN".

If the PC still says the device "malfunctioned", please do the following:
    • Disconnect it from the computer.
    • Disconnect all other USB devices from the computer except the keyboard and mouse.
    • If the computer is a laptop, plug the computer into a power outlet.
    • Connect the device directly to the computer.
      • If it is a desktop, make sure you connect to the USB ports on the back of the computer.
      • Do not connect through any USB hub or other device.
      • If your computer uses USB 2 ports and USB 3 ports, please make sure you connect using USB 2 ports.
Now, please see if it is connecting correctly.

If you still get a message that the device has "malfunctioned", please contact ">Product Support">Product Support by phone as mentioned.

  • Hello,
thank you for your reply, sorry for the translation, yes I'm in France and I go through a translator that can be translated incorrectly all words,
I look everywhere for information to try to help my Nuvicam, but I have tried EVERYTHING and nothing is correct, it does not want to connect to my computer.
I just write a mail to Garmin France has a contact I have in their services, but I wanted to help me myself without having to solicit their services, too bad, I think I will return my gps still...
    have a good day.
