DEZL560 Lifetime Map Updates not working

I have owned a DEZL560 for 18 months but for some reason I cant update the European Maps on it. The Map doesnt show in Garmin Express. It was bought with Lifetime Updates. The European Map appears to be located on the Memory Card rather than the Device when the North American Map is.
Would this be why Garmin Express doesnt see the Map? Is there a correct way of moving the map onto the device or will this not help.
I can see it in Basecamp.
I have logged it with Support and they asked for a screenshot but I am hoping to update the European Map before a trip to France in a couple of weeks.
The Unit keeps telling me my map is over a year old (which is correct)
  • How did you acquire the EU map? Supplementary maps downloaded from Garmin aren't updateable.

    We bought if already loaded from GPS4U in the UK and it was advertised as Lifetime Maps.
  • So where did the NA map come from as normally you wouldn't have both? I suspect you may need to contact GPS4U to establish exactly what you've been sold.

    Edit: Just looked at that site, they seem to import US devices to UK then add EU maps. The lifetime update applies to the originally installed US map, not to the added EU map.

    I am sorry you are having trouble getting the current Europe maps on your Dezl 560LMT. I have looked at the device associated with your account and it is a North American unit as SUSSAMB mentioned. This means it will only have Lifetime Map Updates for North America. If GPS4U advertised it as having Lifetime Map Updates for Europe, you will need to contact them unfortunately.

    If you do need Europe maps either as a download or pre-loaded microSD card, we do sell them on our website. They cannot be updated in the future. So, you will need to purchase a new map each time you want to update Europe. If you want Lifetime Map Updates for Europe, you will need a device that is pre-loaded with Europe maps.
