Problem with 2017.10 on Nüvi 765T

Actually, the same problem on both my Nüvi and my Zümo.

After updating to 2017.10 I can no longer find addresses. There is no option to change states, and searching using number and street can't find addresses, either by entering a city or finding a city.

I have tried a dozen addresses that I know worked fine before, including my home.

I cannot find any way to reinstall either the firmware or the maps.

Is it just a problem with searching? When you zoom in is the map detail showing? If not look on your devices to ensure the new map is selected in Map Options.

I am sorry you can't enter addresses on your nuvi 765T or zumo. If you updated both but can't enter addresses, it means the update didn't actually complete (even if it said it did). This happens because some newer computers cache the data being transferred but tell the program it is done when it really isn't. Please try the steps in the FAQ, "">What should I do if my Garmin automotive device displays the message "No Detailed Maps Found That Support Routing" or "No Map Data Available?"">What should I do if my Garmin automotive device displays the message "No Detailed Maps Found That Support Routing" or "No Map Data Available?""
Even if you aren't actually seeing those messages, these steps do apply to your issue.

After following the FAQ, you should have the latest maps working. Let us know if you still have trouble.

Yes. Both seem to properly load the maps. The maps are selected in map options, and both can plot a route to an existing location, either in my favorites or recents.

But there is no way to select a different state, it cannon "find" a city, even one that can be selected in nearby. No matter how I try to search they cannot find an address, not even ones already in favorites.

The reason you can navigate to "Favorites" or "Recent" is because those are saved in the device as coordinates. Coordinates are in the device even if you don't have any maps installed. You cannot find addresses because part of the map data is missing. Please use the FAQ I previously provided and you should be able to correct this.

Today, both got a software update. I followed that with reinstalling the maps. Now they both are working normally.
