Garmin Express installer

Hi, folks!

I'm trying to install Garmin Express on my computer. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
I have downloaded the Garmin Express install file, but when i double-click the file nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Express must be run as an administrator. Try right clicking and selecting Run as administrator.

Thanks for your reply. I tried to run it as administrator, but got the following error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item."

I am sorry you are not being allowed to install Garmin Express. The message you are getting is saying Windows is denying you access to run the "exe" file as an Administrator. Unfortunately, this is a problem with your Windows permissions. Please try the following:

Re-download the ">Garmin Express Installer">Garmin Express Installer and try again.
Make sure Windows components are working correctly by running the ">System File Checker">System File Checker.
Check the permissions on the computer using the Microsoft's ">FAQ">FAQ about the error.
If the other steps do not work (or are too complex), you will need to use a different computer.

I had the same issue on windows - if you find the file, right click, go to properties and then unclick the blocked box at the bottom it should then run.

Garmin Express Error - Will not start

Running windows 10 - Desktop
Garmin Express updated. Afterward Express will not start / run.

Error message - see attached screen shot

"An Unexpected Error Occurred and Garmin Express must close. If you continue to experience this, contact Garmin Customer Support"

There could be some permissions issue or even corruption within a folder. See if the following FAQ fixes this:
Why does Garmin Express for Windows fail to launch when I run it? If this does not resolve the problem you will need to contact support.

I found a solution to my problem. I Googled the error-message, and found a video on YouTube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlIo7zzN-I0 ).
My problem was that I had to deactivate my Anti-virus program ( I use AGV AntiVirus) and then try to run the install file as administrator.
This worked for me, so now I have Garmin Express installed again.
