I posted this earlier, but have now solved it thanks to some more focused Googling. The ability to remove things from the Sync queue seems to solve a multitude of problems. Shame that the erroneous files in this case originated from Garmin!
Stumped by an error on my Garmin 1000 which refuses to sync. I am trying to download a course onto the device, plus it has some segment leader files in the queue. Nothing to upload, and I've deleted all the existing courses on the device (I know from past experience these can stall in the upload queue). Tried deleting the device from Express and reinstalling - no change. One clue - A message flashed up a few days ago about a suspect file on the device that I should consider deleting (didn't notice the exact message as I was in a rush at the time). Whilst this may be the issue, I no longer get the message and have no idea where to look for other problems. As a long term Garmin user (800, then this) I know the software can be flaky, but surely there must be some way of finding out what causes the error syncing, rather than just leaving you hanging? Any advice gratefully received.#
