My Marine device echoMap 44DV does not use Garmin Express to get firmware updates. Updates must be downloaded directly off the Garmin Software Download page. However, there is an endless page loop back to the Garmin Software Download page even after agreeing to the terms.
Here is how to reproduce the issue :
Starting on the Software download page http://www8.garmin.com/support/download.jsp , I Click on "Marine Device Software Updates" link at the bottom which takes me to http://www8.garmin.com/support/software/marine.html
I select "echoMap Series with SD Card" option (center of page) and then click the "Download" button (not "Buy Now" button), which takes me to http://www8.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=4749 aka the Download Terms Agreement Policy page.
I click the "I agree to the terms....." acknowledgement link, and I am taken back to the http://www8.garmin.com/support/download.jsp "Software Download page".
There is no download prompt, no automatic download actions in the browser. This appears to be a "loop" - the online equivalent to getting the "run-around".
Yes I have tried many browsers and different computer platforms. The problem appears to be on the Garmin side. Have the web-team audit the download links for manual download customer like myself whom can't go through the Garmin Express tool.
I obviously own a echoMAP44DV marine device. My current firmware is 2.90, while I can see that Garmin has 3.30 change log posted on their website (as of March 22, 2016) here : http://www8.garmin.com/support/ch.jsp?product=010-01280-00
I urge that Moderators and Admin of this forum please forward this issue to the appropriate department for resolution.
