"No map date available" after the latest update.

Sorry but I had no luck with the search

Since the latest update a few days back whenever I try to enter a new address it says "no map data available". However the map data works fine when I use "previously found" or "show the map". Don't know how to get past that glitch

    I am sorry you are getting a message "No map data found". This happens because the maps are incomplete on the device. You can still select previously found points is because they are saved on the device in coordinates. If you actually select them, it will most likely fail to direct you correctly. To fix this issue, update needs to run again and we need to ensure the transfer is completely finished before the device is unplugged. Please try the following:
    • Connect the GPS to the computer and launch Garmin Express.
    • Select your device.
    • Click on "Map Options".
    • Click on "Reinstall Map".
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the map update again.
    • When the update is finished, click on "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" in your System Tray (the icons by the computer's clock).
      • You may have to click on the symbol to "show hidden icons"/"show more icons" to see this.
    • Select to eject the GPS (or memory card if the maps were installed to it).
    • Wait for the computer to say it is safe to remove the device before you unplug it. If it says it is busy, let it finish.

    Now, please see if the maps are working correctly. Let us know if you have more trouble.

    Thanks everyone, I stumbled into the solution last night due to sheer luck.
    I found I could reload the map, started doing it and promptly forgot about about it for hours. When I remembered the gps was again working :)
