Garmin Express loops import

Former Member

GE version 4.1.16.0 with 310XT
Activities are imported to the PC but the process is repeated again and again.
The activity is still on the 310XT and GE doesn't delete it automatically which it is advertised to do.
Any ideas on this and how to fix it or work around it?
TIA

The feature to remove uploaded activities from the device was removed awhile ago. If you want to delete activities from your Forerunner 310XT, you will need to do so manually. Instructions to do so can be found on page 24 of the Owner's Manual:

Thanks Lisa, But i am not worried about deleting the activities automatically.
I want to stop GE repeating the import. I connect the 310XT with GE running and the latest activity is imported and the file is copied to the PC's disk. A minute or so later, the whole process is repeated and the only way to stop it is to close GE or turn the 310XT off.
Previous the latest firmware upgrade, it didn't do this.
Is there a way to stop this?
    TIA

Once an activity is transferred to the computer, the watch marks it as sent and it shouldn't retransfer that activity again unless you choose the transfer all option on the watch. If this is occurring, it is most likely a problem with the watch, not Express since Express does not have any visibility of the files except what the watch delivers. Is this a problem with just one activity or all activities?

    Hi Jason,

I experimented and after deleting all the activities on the watch, i went for a run this morning. I turned the watch on with the GE running on my Windows 10 laptop. The data was transferred, only once this time.
I will try again after my next run and if it loops again, i will let you know.
    Thanks for the input
    Cheers
