I bought this GPS about 2 weeks ago. Have ran into some strange issues with it. I can only run and charge it in my car. I have tried to charge it with my desktop, my laptop, and a couple types of power to usb adapters. Anything but the car, the garmin display just lights up for a few secs, then turns off. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Also when I try to install the Garmin Express App, it does not see my GPS despite it being hooked up. By the way, the gps does work perfectly in the car.
I have fully charged it with my car and then tried with the app but still no success. So basically I have a few questions.
First obviously is any idea why the app is not detecting my gps?
Second, why is it I can only charge this thing in my car? I can charge iphones, mp3 players, my video shades, and other things with my computer and power to usb adapter, but not the gps.
3rd. This really isn't a major thing but figured I would ask on here as I am new to this. I have read on some of the older models you could change the voices on it. As I have found the KITT voice on Amazon for older ones, though it is sold out. Do they still have these somewhere for newer models? And I don't mean the basic ones you can change. I would really like KITT if possible lol. A geek thing.
