Problem uploading 910 XT Run File

I have had no problems with my 910 XT for three years. However, I went for a run yesterday, after which I saved the workout and then took off the watch inside the door and like often happens, the watch started to sync with my computer upstairs. Unfortunately, mid-sync, it froze on me. I couldn't do anything with it in this state, including turning it off, and so I let the power drain then recharged it. Once charged, I restarted it and it began to transfer data. However, it is always unsuccessful in doing so and continuously reties to sync. I have deleted all files on the watch except for the last run so it is not because their are old files on the watch. I use Chrome typically but I also tried using Firefox to upload with no success.

Apparently, I have loaded on my watch the latest software update so that doesn't seem to be the issue. I have changed USB ports as well to check that but that is not the issue.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Kim.

I am sorry you are having trouble syncing your Forerunner 910XT and I am happy to assist you. It is possible that your current "Activity" has corrupt data in it. But, it is also possible that the corrupt data was an older file you already deleted that is still stuck on the computer. So first, we can try clearing the data out of the "Sync" folder on the computer and hopefully save the "Activity". Please follow the steps below:
    • Press the Windows key + "R" to open the "Run" command. (The Windows key is two keys left of the spacebar.)
    • Type%programdata%\garmin\coreservice\devices and press the 'Enter" key.
    • Open the Unit ID folder for your device. (This is a 10 digit numbered folder.)
    • Right-click on the "Sync" folder.
    • Select "Delete" and confirm you want it deleted.

Now, please try syncing your device once more. Let us know if you still have trouble.
