Cannot add Wifi via Garmin Express

Former Member
Former Member
I purchased a Tactix Bravo last night and cannot add/save a wifi network using Garmin Express.

This occurs with both a PC and Mac.

I sign into my Garmin Connect via Express, add a wifi network, sync.

However, when going to Settings > Wifi > Connect > Use Garmin Express to add a Network

I reconnect to Garmin Express and no networks were saved.

Any suggestions?

    We are not the problem...

Contacted support via email and am given instructions on how to do it correctly despite our singular successful attempt to obtain wifi on my wife's brand new fenix 3 HR on the very same day... With same modem... Same instructions... Only diff? Mine is a bravo. Plus now I am sending a video of yet another attempt to clarify if I am doing it right. It seems that these support people believe we are still the problem. Somebody better send out a memo.

Wondering when wifi will work.. Waiting w/o worry

Are we any closer to solution? Just checking.
  • This issue is under review and being actively worked. The issue is not device, firmware, or Express related but more of an authentication issue with Connect that occurs during the WI-FI setup in the client. The affected devices are the tactix bravo and quatix 3. The fenix 3 is unaffected. We are working to get the issue resolved. In the mean time users can upload data using Express or the Garmin Connect Mobile application.

We will update this post when the needed changes are complete.

Hi everybody. I was up all night trying to figure this out. Unfortunately it's us tactix bravo users.

    Login into your router.
    I'm using g/n modes
    And WPA2 AES
What I did is change the channel from 8 to 9 (maybe 9 is the magic number)

Delete any bin files in wifi. Add the wifi settings in garmin express and make sure that the new bin file creates when saved.

I enabled the wifi hot key and I was finally able to "search for network" on the bravo
  • This has now been resolved so you should be able to add your Wi-Fi networks now. If it is still not working for you, you might need to remove your device and then add it back into Express.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate everyone's patience while we worked on this.
