Can't rename my Forerunner 10

The name in Garmin Connect is "Garmin Forerunner 10 (2)", I want to rename it to "Garmin Forerunner 10".

It says I already have a device by that name and to choose another. Nowhere on the PC app or the web site, do I see another device by that name. How can I delete this phantom device?

    I am sorry you can't rename your Forerunner 10 in Garmin Connect and I am happy to help you. I looked at your account and it seems another Forerunner 10 was registered before this one and was removed. This device was still in your Connect account marked as "retired". I have removed the device and I renamed your current device correctly for you. Please log in and make sure everything on the Connect account is accurate. Let us know if you still need help.
