edge 1000 garmin IQ updates

just updated to version 7.00 on edge 1000 and installed a couple of data fields to try out

1) I can remove the app/data field in garmin express and get the removed notification and the cloud symbol, however it is still on the device and available to pick in data screen setup

2) tried a number of sync's both connected by wire and GE or via Bluetooth and ipad still exist

3) some of the apps are configurable with data values, these updated values are not being pushed from GE to the device

any suggestions welcome

update, it appears that garmin apps/data fields can be removed however it does not happen for 3rd party apps, surely these have to conform to standards and be tested by garmin before inclusion, grrrrr

useful update

Here is an update which sheds some light and maybe of use to others

I have solved the problem and install/delete is working now

It is possibly due to my initial install via ipad 2/ios 9.21, only has Bluetooth and not ble, as GCM says no Bluetooth but does the app install

Here is what I did

Turned off Bluetooth and wifi on edge to stop auto updates
Connect via usb
Copied app folder as a backup to another windows pc drive
Deleted all apps/widgets using GC, these went down on items count, but still left some prg files
Install and delete again count went up and down and still left bogies
Left apps folder on edge drive but deleted contents
Restarted edge, this populated apps folder with sub folders and an in.bin and out.bin
Connected to GE, now able to add fields and widgets and remove

All is good, I noted that the bogey prg files had a double dot in the file name so might be issue with GC mobile
