Garmin Approach G8 Firmware Upgrade

My Garmin Approach G8 updated to firmware version 3.00 this week which added support for TruSwing. However it seems that Garmin have now removed this update and the latest update is V2.90. You can still see at the time of posting this message the details for the V3.00 update on Google cached webpages: Garmin Cached Pages

I have noted anew issue with WiFi restarting the device when searching for updates but V3.00 has fixed the Smart Notifications which would not work before.

Why has V3.00 been pulled from release?

According to the Golf Team the update was pulled after device restart issues were discovered on a few devices. If you are not experiencing random restarts then the Approach is not affected. If you are experiencing issues after the update then please contact Product Support by phone. Otherwise I suggest you keep an eye out for the next firmware update release in Express. There is no official ETA as of now but these usually get handled quickly by the device software developers.
