Garmin Express sync and update issues on FR 630

Greetings Gents
I've just bought a FR 630 and I'm facing problems in interaction between Garmin Express and the device: GE is correctly installed, latest version from the web site; is properly recognized by GE trought the usb cable. I see Software updates are available but when i try to install them on the device I'm returned the following error message: "There was an error installing the update".

Has anyone ever faced a similar issue?

    Thanks for providing the log files. Here are the error messages:

    File copy failed after 1 attempts with system error codes 19 (this is a Microsoft Windows error code)
    Error code 19 = The media is write protected.

    That is why the update is failing, the memory on the Forerunner 630 has become write protected.

    The computer you connected it to, was it a personal computer or a work computer? Is it possible that some security program encrypted the device when it was connected to your computer? If so, it will need to be un-encrypted.

    Otherwise, you can try to run a check disk on the device. Instructions are in our FAQ:

    If running check disk does not remove the write protection, the device will need to be replaced. Did you purchase the Forerunner 630 from an individual or a store? If so, you may be able to return it that way. Otherwise, you can contact Product Support in your region for assistance.

    actually I'm using a USB protected corporate device which has "write permission deny" on external usb storage unless it is unencrypted. I confirm that the device has NOT been encrypted so far, but the sistem protection might prevent GE to deploy the update on it.

    My only doubt is related to the fact that a colleague of mine has just bought the same device and, using a similar configured laptop is not facing any issue.

    Anyway, I will use a different PC for this purpose.
