Cannot add FR630 to Garmin Express (Add a device firts screen)

Hi all,
I am having trouble adding my 630 to Garmin Express.
I hit add a device, then it searches but it timeouts stating (Ant stick found but not a device)
I was able to add my VivoFit, though so the ant+ Stick should be working ok in the Virtual machine.
(I had to install Express within Vmware because there are not Garmin ant+ drivers for x64)
Any Ideas?
Do I need to initiate pairing in the Watch?
Thanks in advance,
Alvaro.
  • BTW: (The reason of installing Garmin Express is I would like to Setup the WiFi Sync in the watch.)
  • The ANT+ stick it the one comming with the Vivofit band.

    I would be happy to help you with this. If you would like to use Garmin Express to sync with Connect and setup the Wifi connection then Garmin Forerunner 630 connects to the computer via the USB Data/Charging clip. It is a mass storage device and needs to be mounted as a volume or drive in order for Garmin Express to recognize it. The 630 does not communicate with the computer via ANT. It communicates with ANT Sensors using ANT+ but not the computer. Just FYI - For devices that do communicate with the USB ANT Stick, the ANT software is installed as part of Garmin Express and is compatible with 64bit Windows and Mac computers. We do not support any other operating systems or VM software. If you continue to have trouble please see the FAQ below or contact Product Support by phone.

    What can I do if my fitness mass storage device is not being recognized by the computer?https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={e9a42540-68cd-11e3-f27b-000000000000}
