Where can I get the last version of GE that runs on XP sp3? Mine got corrupted think it was 3.2.21.0 but not sure. Used mapupdater yesterday to update my Nuvi 550 with CN 2017.1 fine, but you can't do firmware updates with mapupdater.

True, but you can do firmware updates with WebUpdater. It is unlikely you will see any more firmware updates for a nuvi 550, except maybe an occasional voice update.
I am sorry for the troubles. Garmin no longer provides a Legacy version of Express for Windows XP. You'll use the Garmin Map Updater for map updates. There hasn't been a firmware update for the Nuvi 550 series since 2011 so it is unlikely there will be on in the future.
This is incorrect as there is a time zone update for the 550.
Also You have made the problem by not letting me use the older Express software, turns out even with update turned off you are preventing the software from running by displaying a message that the program needs to update. The only choice that we are now given is to update you can't even close the warning window any more.
