Stuck on Sign In loading screen - Windows 7

I'm trying to register my Edge 25 with Express for updating the firmware, and Garmin Express is stuck in the loading screen for Sign In (showing the circle and the This might take a minute... message for more than 2 hours)

Internet connection is working good, I can access Garmin Connect or any other website.

Your Garmin Connect account shows that your Edge 25 is registered and an activity has been uploaded. If you continue to experience problems, we will need more detailed information or contact Product Support by phone for assistance.

  • That's right, Lisa.
I uploaded the ride via my smartphone via bluetooh, but I would like to have Express working, so I can do firmware updates.
What information do you need? Any trace, logs, etc?

I am sorry that you are having trouble with Express. There are a couple of things that I can think of that could cause this behavior.

Internet connectivity issues:There are certain internet and computer settings that can prevent the application from communicating with our servers. This sign in page is actually loaded from our server so it would make sense to start here. To address these issues, please follow the steps in the FAQ What should I do if I receive a server error while using Garmin Express?

Display issues:In rare cases, display adapter issues can prevent the login page from being rendered in the window. These issues can usually be resolved by updating the drivers for your display adapter:
    • Press the Windows Key + R
    • Type mmc devmgmt.msc
    • Expand Display adapters
    • Right click your display adapter (the name will vary)
    • Click Update Driver Software...
    • Click Search automatically for updated driver software

If there are multiple display adapters listed, repeat these steps for each of them.

If these steps do not solve the problem, it would be best to contact Product Support by phone.
