Garmin Express stuck on Preparing Maps.

I have tried everything I can think of. I have a Nuvi 1350 LMT that has not had new maps in quite a while. I downloaded Express and when I got into update the maps, it just gets stuck on preparing software (maps). I have let it sit there for 5 hours, with the same screen showing. And when I go into the device to check for maps, none are there. I have installed a 16GB memory card for plenty of storage and have uninstalled and reinstalled Express many times. Any ideas on what may be going on? Or how I can get maps a different way if Express is junk and will not work?

I am running Windows 10

Difficult to know exactly what is going on, as Express generally installs maps to nuvis without issue.

How much free space is on your device? If it were me I'd remove the card, confirm you have free space on your device, then run Express again, only inserting a card if Express asks for it.

Fixed!

I found that I can download the files to my computer, then transfer them to my device using MapInstall. I am not sure why it would not work with Express. There is plenty of space on the card, the device did not have enough. However, I did insert the card when it asked when I first tried, same issue. Maybe it is something with the older device I have. Nonetheless, I did fix it with that work around. Thank you for the reply.
