Click on map options then reinstall map. I assume you had the full EU or Western Europe map originally?

Can I do it even though I use Chrome? Is Chrome an issue?

Your browser shouldn't be an issue if you're using Express to update your nuvi. You might find this FAQ helpful:

Still an issue "There was an error installing the update"

Thanks for your help but...

Even with a Micro SD card inserted it stops the process pretty rapidly.

I note the the maps currently installed are only UK and Ireland, which is all I updated in December. I have nothing any more for Portugal, which I used to have. Any other suggestions?

Difficult to diagnose further through a forum, the Express team may be able to help when they see your post as it's possibly an account issue which they can check. Your other option is to call Product Support.

Latest Maps on My NUVI

Please Register with the Forums or the Express Team cannot obtain your account or device information. You could also send the serial number for the Nuvi in a Private Message or call Product Support by phone.

Nuvi map update issue

Not sure who to email to so...
I was asked for serial number of my Nuvi.

I am not able to update European maps as I get an error message
