Garmin Express Setup Failed on Windows 10 - .NET Framework problem

When I try to install the Garmin Express file I get the following error in the log:

[32E8:2C44][2016-01-09T19:30:59]e000: Error 0x81f403e8: The Burn engine cannot run with an MBA under the .NET 4 CLR on Windows 7 RTM with .NET 4.5.2 (or greater) installed.

I'm running Windows 10.

Any suggestions of how to install would be greatly appreciated.

cant say if that was the same error I got or not. I called garmin tech support, they were amazing, worked it to death. Sadly never got it solved but they did figure it out. It was a WIN fault, the same fault I had on 7 and the upgrade to 10 did not fix it. I had to do a complete reload of 7.

Interesting. I've never had Windows 7 on here. I bought it with 8.1 and upgraded from there. Thank you for your information! :)

I am sorry you are getting a ".NET Framework" error when installing Garmin Express in Windows 10. This may be caused if the ".NET Framework" is not completely enabled. Please try the following:
    • Press the Windows key + "R" to open the "Run" command box.
    • Type in appwiz.cpl and press the "Enter” key.
    • Click on the "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.
    • Click on the "+" symbol next to each "Microsoft .NET" entry here.
    • Put a check in every box in the "Microsoft .NET" entries.
      • A blue box does not mean everything is checked. You must expand the entry.

    • Click on "OK" and wait for this to complete. This can take a few minutes.

    • Reboot the computer.

Now, please see if the error is fixed.

Thanks so much Dave. That seems to have done the trick! I really appreciate it!
