well I have not been here in a while, not sure how much has changed. Hey folks!!!!

OK, had to reload a win 7 laptop, all the way. Dont do win10 (IMO)

win 7 (new)
60 CSX
I got Mapsource to load, so it does see my GPS
in order to update my lifetime (and add for the first time) I cannot use Garminexpress.

I go to mygarmin (logged in) and it DOES NOT see my unit.

why? it is like Windows does not see my unit, but I can upload/download via Mapsource so it is there.

on a side note I tried to load Basecamp and got and error................"........program cant start because ogckml.dll is missing. try reinstalling to fix you problem."

I m sorry you are getting the WIN_UTILITIES.CPP error in MapSource. This may be solved by using the last release of MapSource. You are using "6.14.1" and the last release was "6.16.3". Please update MapSource from ">here">here.

If that did not fix the issue, we need to run MapSource as an Administrator. Please try the following:
    • Right-click on the MapSource shortcut.
    • Select the "Compatibility" tab.
    • Put a check next to "Run this program as an administrator".
    • Click on "OK".
Now, please try MapSource again. Let us know if it still isn't working.

Also, are you still getting an error in BaseCamp?

No I got a new D/L of BC and it is now working, other than I can unlock my maps. It takes me to the same web page.

Did a new D/L of MS, did not work, did the right click and all still no dice.
