Windows 10 Garmin express not syncing my 910XT via Ant Agent

I installed Garmin express the other day on Windows 10. It recognised my device via the Ant agent usb stick, but whenever I click Sync, turn my watch on, it doesn't sync and just says that there was an error syncing with with garmin connect, it seemed to get partly through syncing before giving up with the error message.

Please help because I really am losing faith with the garmin software.

Many Thanks
Andy

I am sorry you are having trouble syncing your Forerunner 910XT. If it starts syncing but fails part of the way through, this normally means there is some corrupt data on the device. We can try resolving this by deleting the data that is already uploaded. Please try the following:
    • With the device powered on, press "mode".
    • Select "History".
    • Select "Delete"
    • Select either "Individual Activities" or "Old Activities" (selects everything over a month old).
    • Confirm that you do want to delete the activities.
Continue deleting activities until all the data already uploaded is deleted.

    • Restart the device.

Now, please see if you can sync the data. If you still cannot sync then let us know.

    Garmin 910XT sync issue

I have tried this with no luck. Interestingly enough, my 910 syncs my swims from Tuesday and today flawlessly but does not recognize that I ran yesterday. The activity data is still on the device. I can read the splits etc. When I run Express, it appears to sync (status bar etc as per usual) and Express says activity synced but my run is still missing from Connect/Strava etc. Any ideas?

I am sorry for the troubles. Since a sync has been successful after the activity in question, it sounds like the 910XT cannot create a valid .FIT file for the missing run. It may still show up on the device but that is just summary data for the activity. When ever you complete two activities on the same day, make sure to use the Lap/Reset button on the 910XT after stopping the timer at the end of the first activity. This will properly separate one activity from the other. The Lap/Reset button should be used after every activity but especially when doubling up.

You can use the resend function on the 910XT to resend all of the activities to Garmin Express. If the watch is able to create a valid file, Express will upload it. Any activity files already uploaded to Connect will be ignored to avoid duplicates.

    How can I resend my history from my wireless ANT+ watch to my computer?https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={7576dec0-7533-11de-5495-000000000000}

If the issue is not resolved then the activity should be deleted from the 910XT and you'll need to manually enter the run in Connect.

Again, I am sorry for the troubles.
