Sync error

I have used Garmin Express without issues for some time. It successfully uploaded today's ride data. Then, I created a Strava account and paired it, following prompts from Strava and Garmin, with my Garmin account to enable Garmin to speak to Strava. I deleted today's ride from Garmin Connect with the intent to upload it again to see if the automatic sharing wth Strava would take place. However, now Garmin Express fails to sync. It does see my Edge 705 but the sync fails...it attempts to sync, but after a couple of minutes I get a failure to sync message. (Windows). I restarted my computer but still not syncing. Thoughts? Thanks.

  • Maybe you should manually import that particular activity instead of trying to sync it.

    I did get it to sync this morning, including sending the new activity to Strava. I entered a new 'ride' in my Garmin...actually I walked it around the driveway, then synced it without issue. The only thing I can think of is, after syncing with Garmin Express and then telling Garmin Connect to delete the Jan 1 ride, it 'refused' to again load that ride data even though it was still on my Edge 705, resulting in a failed sync message. In any case, I hope the issue is resolved. Thanks for the reply.
