Nuvi 50 LM: Updates reappear

My company has a fleet with eight Nuvi 50LMs. The two most recent updates, "nuvi 40 and 50 Language Text" and "Proximity Alert Text, All languages, GLX" download and install just fine, at least according to Garmin Express. But when I plug in the GPS to the PC a 2nd time, Garmin puts the updates back as if they weren't installed. I tried installing a second time, and closing/reopening Express, all to no avail.

This has happened to all eight 50LMs. Any suggestions?

Well you could simply ignore the advice?

Alternatively its possible the devices xml file isn't being written correctly. Try deleting the GarminDevice.xml file from the Garmin folder on the nuvi, then disconnect from the PC and reboot the nuvi. That will force it to rewrite the xml file. Now see what Express is saying?

I also recommending deleting the devices from Garmin Express. This way, after the GarminDevice.xml has been deleted and recreated, Garmin Express is looking at updated information.
