Today was cringe day; I cringe each time I think of updating my Garmin (I have two) but I proceeded to start the update. Using Garmin Express 4.1.10.0 I began the sadistic task for my 2589LMT which led to the "Error Installing" message in the nice red bar. The map did not appear to have even downloaded yet. I restarted the process and hours later, and several attempts later, did not have any success. Now, a few weeks ago I updated my other Garmin (1450LMT) with no issues - one of my few satisfactory update stories. But this time, I pulled two of my teeth with rusty wire pliers out of flustation. I say "flustation" because two teeth are missing :) I would have pulled more, but I got light headed and the dog started whimpering as I stumbled about the house. I might get implants for the missing teeth, but are there any suggestions on the Garmin situation?
I am sorry for the map update problems. If nothing about your network or Internet Service Provider has changed since you updated the Nuvi 1450 then this is might be local issue. Please see the information in the FAQ below.

You might also try deleting the Nuvi 2589LMT from Garmin Express, restarting the computer then trying again. If you continue to have trouble I suggest you contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
