Anyway
I have a Garmin nuvi 2595 and LOVE it. I went back to the states last summer, and forgot to take the Navi, so I bought one while I was there... the NAVI 65. I thought, "Its bigger, newer, should be better!"
That was a mistake. I am now back in Europe (I am stationed here with the US Govt/Military) and I had to buy the Euro Maps and download them...
But here is my question.
How do you search destinations by ZIp Code? It wants me to type the street name, and then I have to figure out which of the 50000 Hochstrasse is the one I am really going to... INSANE!
My Nuvi 2595 prompted me for a ZIp Code FIRST... ah that make sense! But not the bigger/newer Navi 65? How do I "adjust" the settings to allow a search for zip code first?
Second
My nuvi 2595 beeps when I go over the speed limit. Where is that setting on the Navi 65? It has to be there somewhere... right?
Thirdly....
The nuvi 2595 has multiple dashboard layouts... I can pretty much customize it the way I want. I want to know time, time until destination, distance to destination, speed limit etc... The Navi 65 doesn't seem to have any options in that regard.... I can't customize it at all.
Did I buy the WRONG navi? My wife and I are fighting over the old one, and neither one of us wants to get "stuck" with this Navi 65!
