Well my Windows 10 laptop died which is how I was uploading my runs to Garmin Connect via Ant stick through Garmin Express. Computer is still in shop so I am stuck using an 11 year old desktop with XP. I tried to search the net/garmin site etc on how to get XP to work again. Problem was when I installed Garmin Express on the XP computer it wiped out the ant agent software somehow and I could not find any way to get the software UNTIL I searched my old faithful XP desktop.I did a search for Ant Agent and must of had 4-5 Ant Agent setup files on my C drive. I ran the latest one and BAM it started working like the old days FLAWLESSLY at that! Ant agent automatically detected my FR 410 got the runs then brought up my original Training center then a message prompted me that my data was ready on Garmin Connect . Went there to confirm the good news. My suggestion for anyone still trying to use XP is to first uninstall Garmin Express as it DOES NOT WORK AT ALL on XP. Search for Ant Agent setup on the XP computer then re-install it. Hopefully you did not uninstall Training center as Garmin's site no longer has it either --- to the best of my knowledge and research. Anyhow just passing it on as it is frustrating enough to have a laptop die that had everything on it. Learned my lesson --- back up everything!
Garmin: This is my honest opinion on Garmin Express
I hate to burst your bubble about Garmin Express but this application is way too unstable compared to the old Ant Agent/Training Center. Garmin Express was a hit & miss to me when I used it on Windows 10. Ant Agent/Training Center is soooo much more stable. It always does it's job. You need to just read through all the complaints here about Garmin Express and consider making something better. Someone needs to swallow their pride and realize the creation of Garmin Express was a big mistake. Sad thing is I will be forced to use it once I buy my new laptop on Black Friday.
