Unable to uplode "advanced" activities to my FR410 from GC via GE

I can no longer upload advanced activities, created in Garmin Connect(GC) to my FR410. Garmin Express starts and the sync start as well. The watch states that it tranfers data and that transfer is completed, but the only thing that happens is that files from the watch are transfered to GC, not the the other direction.
I used to be able to do this but after a so called "upgrade" of GC earlier this year this functionality does not work.
Garmin support team in Sweden cannot appearantly not help me.
Anyone who has a clue on what to do? Buy a Suunto or a Polar?

The Forerunner 410 should be able to receive a Workout from Connect Modern. Make sure your Garmin Express is up to date then log into your Connect account through a web browser and delete the Workout from the Sync menu on the left. Then open the Workouts menu and send the workout to the device from there. If the sync fails again, delete the Workout from the Sync menu again and try different workout. Make sure the workout is a Running workout and not a Custom workout.

How do I update Garmin Express?

    Still not working

Thanks for your suggestion Curt. This is pretty much the way I've tried before it before but it simply does not work. Garmin Express starts (if not already started) but the only thing that happens then is that activities stored in the FR is uploaded to GC. Not the other way. When I try to press synchronize again, same thing again, but now there is nothing to upload to GC so it says it is done almost immediately.

I have the latest GE (4.1.10.0).

Any way to force the download from GE?

The question is really whether Garmin Connect is sending the file to Express. I want to make sure you're not using the Garmin Classic site and are sending the Workout from Connect Modern - Workouts. I noticed there was still a workout in your Sync menu, did you try a couple of different workouts? Make sure you delete it from the Sync menu.

When Connect Modern sends a Workout to Express a file is created in /ProgramData/Garmin/CoreService/Devices/Unit ID of 410/Sync/Download/ FitnessWorkouts/. Next, Express syncs the file with the Forerunner 410 then deletes it. I suggest you send the workout and monitor that folder to see if Connect is actually sending the file. If there are any files in the folder, delete them. The folder should ultimately be empty.

If you do not see a file show up for a short while then it is possible that Security software is blocking websites from forwarding files into the ProgramData directory. Don't use the Sync button in Express to try and send the file again. Delete it from the Sync menu in Connect then send it or another workout from the Workouts section in Connect Modern.

If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact Product Support by phone.
