Error loading Courses

Hi,

Since the latest update to Garmin Express that ran on my PC today I now get an error when I try and upload a course to my 310 XT.

I thought it may be the new course I created, but I get the same error when I try send courses that successfully uploaded in the past.
My watch is only on 18% memory used.

Garmin Express opens automatically when I select Send to Device and the sync starts, my watch goes into Data Transfer mode, then a message comes up on Garmin Express
"Some files could not be sent to device(Transfer Error)".

The course is a scouting route I ran with the watch then edited on Garmin Connect and would like to reload to the watch for an up coming race.

I am sorry for the troubles. In these cases there are a couple of possibilities. Since you are getting the error message, it appears that Connect Course Service is creating the course file and sending it to Garmin Express. Use the instructions to check the location on the computer where the files are held before Express sends them to the device. Delete any files in this folder then try to send the Course again.

    • Press the Windows key + R
    • Type %ProgramData% in the box
    • Click OK
    • Open the Garmin folder
    • Open the CoreService folder
    • Open the Devices folder
    • Open the folder with the 10 digit Unit ID for your device (this can be found on the About screen on the device if there are multiple folders present)
    • Open the Sync folder
    • Right click the Downloads folder
    • Click Delete

If you continue to have trouble let us know which Course(s) your having trouble with or contact Product Support by phone so the issue can be investigated.
