There was an error sycing with Garmin Connect

I’ve got a problem with my Garmin 800 and Express, it was working fine with an older version of Express but I’ve recently got a new computer and downloaded the latest version of Express. I now get ‘There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect’ when trying to upload new activities. I’ve factory reset the Garmin and deleted all courses and activities but still no joy. I can upload them manually but this is a pain.
Any help appreciated

    Have you checked to see if there are .fit files on the computer? It is possible that the files that fail to sync are on the computer and that is why it is giving an error. Remove any files on the computer following this FAQ: How do I remove FIT files that fail to sync in Garmin Express from my computer?

    If the sync still fails, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
