1390LMT stuck in map update

I was trying to update to the latest map on my 1390 LMT through the Garmin express on my PC.
everything was going fine, until my laptop battery ran out of power and i didn't have the power adapter. Thus my laptop shut down while the 1390 was still updating the map.

Now when I turn on the 1390, there is no map associated with the device, and if i try to update the unit with Garmin Express, its stuck on the preparing the unit for map update. I left it running for over 3-4 hours and its still at that stage.

Did just bricked my gps unit or is there some way to revert back to factory and re-install the maps?

I am sorry for the troubles. Reverting the device is not an option as the original map file is removed from the device before the new one is installed. It's possible that there is some corrupt data on the Nuvi causing a problem with completing the update after the power issue. Please see the FAQ below to run a Check Disk and delete any found corrupt data.

How do I run a check disk or disk utility on my Garmin mass storage device?

Try to run the map again again. If you continue to have troubles, delete the device from Garmin Express, restart your computer then add it back again and see if it will complete or contact Garmin Product Support by phone.
