Garmin Express can't find ANT stick(s)

Hi all

I just got myself a new FR610 and Garmin Express can't find the ANT stick that comes with it.

When searching for a new device in Garmin Express, I just get the error "We couldn't find a device or ANT stick"

Windows finds the ANT stick without any problems (in Device Manager there is a "LibUSB-Win32 Devices -> ANT USB-m" popping up every time I connect the ANT stick).

I have tried:
- to connect to other USB-ports (both USB 2 and USB 3) - no difference
- uninstalling/reinstalling Garmin Express (including removing leftovers in registry and file system) - no difference
- testing two other ANT sticks - one of the works and one presents same behavior as the current one
- removing all

What to do?

    I am sorry for the troubles. It sounds like Garmin Express cannot detect the Forerunner 610. Please make sure pairing is enabled on the watch and look through the FAQ below.

    To enable pairing on the Forerunner 610:

    • Navigate to Main menu
    • Touch Setup
    • Touch System
    • Touch Data Transfer
    • Touch Initial Pairing
    • Touch On
