Old model: Nuvi 650, Map file size limit on SD card?

I know this has been answered somewhere but her goes:
I have an older Nuvi 650 that has been running a CN North America map set on an SD card of approx 1.9 gig in size. I recently loaded a 2.4 gig CN NA mapset onto the same card with same name and it won't load. The Map Info screen will only shows the internally loaded mapset. Is this the external SD card limitation of the Nuvi 650?

I think the issue is that your nuvi won't read a map larger than 2Gb, so you need to install to your PC then send a subset of the map to your nuvi.
