Zumo 660 installing maps

I have a Zumo 660 and have Europe and North american maps unlocked on my PC. I cannot get the USA maps to load onto my device. It will load on to the SD card in my device but then does not recognise the USA when I try and select an address. Am I missing a step?

How did you obtain both maps? Which one, if either, originally came with your Zumo?
