225 will not connect via USB

Hi All,

Ive only had my 225 for 3 weeks. it initially connected and I was able to set-up express and connect. Ive also been able to upload for the first 2 weeks. Now when i "plug in" the 225 will charge, but is not "connecting". When i go into the Disk drive is states "Garmin FR620 Flash USB Device is working properly". So it can see it, but it would seem only partly. When i went into "safely remove hardware and eject media", it sees nothing to remove.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

The Forerunner 225 is a simple mass storage device. Similar to a USB Flash Drive. In your post you quote "Garmin FR620 Flash USB Device is working properly". The FR620 is a different device, it has a different USB cradle used to connect to the computer. Does your computer actually says FR620? It is possible you have switched cradles with someone who has a FR620? That scenario is unlikely because they would have had to connect their FR620 cradle to your computer as well. I suggest you take a look at the FAQ: What can I do if my fitness mass storage device is not being recognized by the computer? If you continue to have troubles please contact Garmin Product Support by phone.
