Cannot connect a new device to Garmin Express

I just purchased an Edge 500 today. Im trying to set it up and add it to Garmin express.

I keep getting a message saying cannot connect to servers. I have checked all the items llisted on the Garmin site. I don't have a proxy on, time and date are correct etc and still get this message.

What do I need to do to connect it ? Without being able to download my data its makes the device useless.

    I am sorry that you are having trouble pairing your device. If you have already followed all of the instructions in the FAQ What should I do if I receive a server error while using Garmin Express?, I would recommend contacting Product Support by phone.

    In the meantime, you can also manually upload your activities if you don't have time to troubleshoot right away by phone.

    Having the same problem this morning with a new VivoSmart.

    Windows 10, latest Garmin Express, no internet issues.

    It must have connected at some point as the VivoSmart is showing in Garmin Connect. Also pairing okay with Android device, but I want to push out a device update which I cannot do through the phone?

    Time is correct too, sync'd from the internet.

    garmin wont accept devbice, servers unavailable

    I have this problem, contacted customer support, they sent me a host of actions to make, done them all, still the same issue persists, have given up with garmin connect, its useless, I use strava instead.
