Garmin Express doesn't find my 920XT

Hi!

I must admit after getting my first Garmin (Forerunner 920XT), I'm not too impressed about the ease of use. I have set up wifi-connection and can sync activities so they show up in Garmin Connect. But if I start Garmin Express, it doesn't find the unit. It _is_ supposed to be able to do that through wifi, right? Or do I actually need to connect it by USB cable every time I want to connect with Garmin Express/Connect?

And can someone explain to me what is the point of having both Garmin Express _and_ Garmin Connect?

Thanks for any help!

The device does not communicate with a computer over wifi, it must be connected by the cradle cable that came with the device to a USB port in order for Garmin Express to detect it.

Garmin Express will not only transfer files from the Forerunner 920XT to Garmin Connect but will also provide firmware updates when they are released. Also, if any wifi network changes occur or you need to add a new wifi network, this is setup through Garmin Express.
