Can't login to Garmin Express with second hand Garmin Watch

Hello,

I bought a fantastic second hand Garmin ForeRunner 405CX a few months ago. I reset the device, and attempted to sign in to Garmin Express a few times, but it kept insisting its servers were down. (unlikely)

I have been trying to log in for the past hour here on my PC, and the same error message keeps coming up. I have tried three different email accounts, I've tried logging in with Facebook and Twitter, and I have even hit the 'forgot password' button and have been sent numerous new temporary passwords. Still 'Servers are down'. Its very frustrating!

My question is, could this be an issue to do with the fact that its a second hand watch? Perhaps its sill synched with its previous owner? Is it remaining loyal to the previous owner? Should I get in touch with him and request his account details?

I hope someone can help me here as I really do love the watch and want to see all the cool data of my hard work!

Thanks for reading, and I sincerely apologise if I have posted in the wrong section.

It is always a good idea to ensure that the previous owner on a second had device has removed or retired the device from their account before selling it.

That being said, I see that your device was registered today. Were you able to get this issue resolved? If not, please provide more information about when you are receiving the server error and whether or not you have tried the troubleshooting in our FAQ:

What should I do if I receive a server error while using Garmin Express?
