"Specified unit ID is invalid"?

Copying my question from Varia forum:

Folks, I'm trying to add my new Varia radar tail light to Garmin Express (PC, latest version - 4.1.8.0) and get the "Specified unit ID is invalid" error. Tail light and display unit combo just bought from Clever Training. Anyone know what the fix is please? Thanks and pedal on.
