Can't log into my.garmin.com

Hello all:

I didn't see a forum specifically for my.garmin.com login issues - so I am posting here.

I have not been able to log into my account at my.garmin.com - although connect.garmin.com (same user ID, account?) works just fine, as is proved by my posting here. I have had my passwd reset automatically with the "Forgot" link - but after I change the passwd again (forced) - it will still not log me in. I want to look for new Extras to download to my 3790LMT.

Can anyone tell me if the authentication for my.garmin.com is currently problematic, not working, or otherwise out of order today?

It has been many months since I logged into my.garmin.com - so if there is some kind of inactivity account locking mechanism, then that might be the culprit. I just do not see any help for this issue on or around that login page.

Thanks
Bill
  • You should be able to download extras through Garmin Express.

Garmin.com sometimes rejects log in details if you're logged in elsewhere. Try logging out of Connect or any other Garmin program and then try logging in to garmin.com
  • The my.garmin.com signon was hosed up earlier today. I tried all the tricks (clearing cache and cookies, logging out from other Garmin sites, but my.garmin still wouldn't let me in. I think they must have fixed something about an hour ago, because now the login is working correctly.
  • It's ok now.

I rarely log into my.garmin.com so I found it quite odd that at that moment, it wasn't able to authenticate.

Still - it's good now, so there was obviously an authentication process askew there for awhile.

    Thanks for the replies.

I was trying to remember where I saw some BMW vehicle icons - I thought it was at my.garmin.com extras - and since I didn't see them via Express, that was my need to log in. However I don't see them there either, so I must have previously found them via 3rd party.

Anyway - it's good now. Thanks for the help - and if we are into closing threads, we can close this one.

    Regards from Canada,
    Bill
