BaseCamp 4.5.2 Is Now Available

BaseCamp is 4.5.2 now available and can be downloaded here:

Installation of this version will overwrite your previous BaseCamp installation.

Fixed some issues sending data to devices
Fixed issue with cancelling a route calculation while editing data on the device
Fixed issue with FIT activities not being read from the etrex Touch
Fixed route vias showing up in the locations list of the fenix 3 and epix
Fixed various issues when disconnecting the device while editing data on the device

Post here if you have questions.

The non-English language version of the software will be available through the in-application software update check shortly.

There appears to be a bug in the route properties tab that affects only the second point of a route.

When the departure date is not on the same day as the arrival the date of departure date should be shown, but right now it's missing.

On the sample below the departure date from Las Vegas is missing. This can be reproduced with any route, by setting the departure date of the second point the following day or later.

POI classification

Why is it that the category Attractions/Landmarks includes so many shops and other retail and commercial places such as Art Galleries?

I would have expected that a POI listed as attraction, with a camera as an icon, would be, well, an attraction, not a business shop.

Ah ha...may be someone figured out classifiying their business as attraction near tourist spot will get more attention!
Chances are high when a tourist search for attraction near that area!
I mean how many people will search Gallery? But when they do...it would not show up, damn! Double edged sword....:p

I was able to reproduce this, it will be fixed in a future release.

When selecting one or more via points for copying the only data sent to the clipboard is the name of the via point. Everything else (depart, arrive, layover, distance, times, etc) is missing. :confused:

Is this by design? If so, is there another way to access this data?

Hmmm, When I copied half a dozen via points out of a route and pasted them into another list, the distances and times came over no problem. I didn't have any depart/arrive times...haven't tested that yet, and since these were in the middle, the new route started from the first one, not the original beginning, but all the data that was in the original route via points was duplicated. :confused:

Yes, that's the way BC handles the copying when pasting to a list, but I am interested in the clipboard content (for pasting as text elsewhere) and that text contains only the via point names, the rest is not available.

Thank you. After reporting it I received this response from Garmin:

...I reported this to our automotive department, they will further look into this and reclassify the POI’s in the data to the appropriate classification...

Install error

Trying to update Basecamp. Receive an error "Error Launching Installer"

How can I fix this?
