Just purchased a Nuvi 44LM and I've been trying to transfer routes onto it from Basecamp and Mapsource. Each time I transfer a route both programs show that the route was successfully transferred. However, when I go on the GPS I can't find the route.
I have seen some posts that say that I have to go into tools or trip planner on my gps and do something further. The Nuvi 44 doesn't have anything like that on its menu. No Tools or Trip Planner menu. I get the impression, although I can't find any documentation, that the Nuvi 44 is too basic for this task.
If this is true, I wonder if there is some way to export a GPX file or a KML file from Google Maps directly into the GPX directory on the NUVI.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am getting frustrated and I am thinking about exchanging this model for a more sophisticated one.
