Newbie HELP!

Hello,

I am completely new to Garmin and Basecamp. Yesterday I bought a Garmin Camper 760LMT-D and I have installed Basecamp on my PC. I have also installed the City Navigator Europe NTU 2016 maps. But I am having real difficulty using this software. PLEASE can someone give me step by step instructions how to enter a driving route from point A to point B? I want to drive from Brittany Ferries Terminal in Bilbao, Spain to Camping De Haro, Haro, Spain. I do not know how to find either of these places, I have tried different ways to search using the names and addresses but Basecamp will not find them. How do I tell Basecamp my Starting point and Destination and then show me turn by turn route? I have found the Create Route dialog box but have no idea how to Drag and Drop my start point and destination and when I enter my start name or address in the search box all it gives me is names of cafes hotels etc, totally useless info. Please please help!

Try this. Move the map to Bilbao, see where the ferry arrives (dotted line is the ferry route) and create a waypoint.

Then Ctrl + Alt + F to bring up the search box, select POIs then Cities as the category and type Haro in the search box. Now you now where Haro is. Centre the map there. Now in the search box choose Lodging and Campground/RV park as sub category, de Haro is top of the list. Click on it then select the waypoint symbol in the box that pops up.

Now drag those two waypoints into the Create route dialogue box.

There will be other ways but that should get you started. Basecamp just needs some learning to get the best from it. There are videos etc under the Help button in the Basecamp toolbar.
