HI. I'm new to Basecamp. I've made a route between 2 places manually by clicking on roads along the way. This has produced the exact route I want to take. However, when I try and add a via point or change the vehicle to motorcycling, then the route is automatically re-calculated and completely changed, ignoring the route I set and choosing other roads to get to the destination. Is there a way to force the route I chose to be cast in concrete, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
If you create a route then change the activity profile the route will almost certainly change. Select the correct activity profile before you create the route and all should be well.
Note the simplest way to create a route is to input the start and finish and see what route is calculated. Then add via points as necessary. You might find this video helpful
