I followed your steps and I was unable to reproduce. Think you could send the data to us that you are having trouble with? [email protected]. It will come right to me.

Sure, happy to, but what type of export file do you want me to send? gpx? other?

I mean, how does one export a trip that will still be a trip after import?

Thanks

...Improved handling for Google Earth's discontinued support...

In my system BaseCamp 4.5 still fails to launch GE and pops the same error message as before ("Google Earth must be installed and running... etc").
• Google Earth Access

Google Earth access seems to have been lost altogether now. "Google Earth not running message" even though it is running.
• Google Earth Access

Further to last posting I found access was OK once I'd restarted Basecamp.

Bug:Cannot reliably edit Waypoint coordinates, Position resets randomly when editing.

Ok, I have a bug to report:

Cannot reliably edit Waypoint coordinates, Position resets randomly when editing.

If I create a waypoint near the correct location, then Open the waypoint, and try to edit the coordinates to the exact coords i want, then the coordinates i'm typing in get "autocorrected", and never go in correctly. And if i then try to edit the bad coords more, the entire coordinate entry field is cleared or resets to some random value and i've lost all of the coords i was trying to edit. It is infuriating.

For example:
I have the following waypoint created, at these coords: (WGS84, UTM zone 55 H): 55 H 680129 5864384
I Open the waypoint, and delete the last 3 digits of 5864384, in order to enter the correct 3 digits and move the waypoint just a little.
And then, suddenly, for no reason, the text in the Position field changes completely to: 9 C 491041 1141868

This happens whether the Waypoint is created in My Collection, in a sublist, or if i try to add it to an adventure I've already created.
It is unbelievable.
How am I supposed to edit my waypoints, when every attempt causes their positions to be ruined?

Please resolve this issue ASAP. Thank you.
• There is still the issue of an incomplete list when searching. If you slew to a random place on the map and then click the search magnifying glass icon, click Find Options, Points of Interest, and select food and drink you may get 2-4 items listed. If you then click the find more items or refresh list you may then get a list of 20 40 more items. Not a really big deal but it's something I've mentioned for several YEARS now.

Another item on the list for YEARS is the inability to copy from the search results window to the clipboard. If I find an item via search abd want more info I should be able to just copy the results to the clip and then paste into a Google search. Now you have to retype the entry. Again, not a really big deal but annoying and easy to fix!
• I don't find the first point much of an issue. BC does a fast search of the immediate area, if that then doesn't give you enough choice or coverage just hit the More button or the ... icon to get up to 200 . I wouldn't necessarily want 200 in the first hit, but the option to get more is there if you need it.

I think your second point would be useful though.

I can confirm this bug. I just tried to adjust one of my waypoints from 32.893 minutes to 33.002 minutes It kept jumbling the numbers to where I lost complete track of what the original values were, so I gave up. By the time I finished, my waypoint had moved from Iowa into the Pacific Ocean.

If you could send me GPX that would be great.

Were you doing this from the waypoint dialog? In what part of the UI were you making this adjustment?
