I've already sent an email to Garmin Support today about this, but I wondered if anyone might be able to tell me sooner than the 3 working days Garmin needs to review my question.
I run 4.4.6, go to the "help" menu and select "Install Update Now." I then see that 4.4.7.0 is ready for install. I click "Update Now", it asks permission to make changes to my computer (which I grant), extracts and says "Please wait while BaseCamp installs. This may take a few minutes." I click OK and wait....for over an hour. Nothing happens.
If 4.4.6 ran fine on my Windows 8.1 machine, what could 4.4.7 possibly need that 4.4.6 didn't?
Is there a work-around? I tried downloading 4.4.7 externally, but I get the same extracting window and the same message about waiting. Still nothing updates.
